You Ask And I'll Tell!!
A women's health physiotherapist who can assess your pelvic floor function.
If you're having any problems with bladder leaks, bowel dysfunction, pain with intercourse or periods, it's a great idea to see a pelvic floor Physio.
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapists are first contact practitioners, which means you don't need a referral from a Dr to see one!
When you see a pelvic floor physiotherapy they may do an internal assessment to see if your muscles are working properly
A prolapse occurs when the connective tissue internally allows the organs to sit lower in the abdomen. This may be the bladder, uterus or bowel.
Contrary to popular belief, the acupuncture needles don't go internally into the vagina! They go into the muscles on either side of the vagina and help 'wake up the nerve' so they can function better.
